In January of this year I published an article talking about the athlete that is inside of every one of us. This idea caught the attention of one of the readers, Cindy, and she signed up for an assessment and workout plan. The training plan and subsequent results have kept her coming back ever since! Check out her story and see if it might be similar to yours.
How did you find In Pursuit Training?
I saw an article in the Minter newsletter with a special offer. It was exactly what I had been looking for, the perfect introduction to a strength and training program. I signed up right away.
What were your goals when you started training?
My initial goals were to focus on core strength and muscle toning. My fairly active lifestyle was not cutting it. Daily stretching, taking the stairs at work, going for walks, yard work - it was not enough. Lifting those bags of salt pellets and 24-packs of water bottles was becoming difficult. Now I have the means to change that.
What have you learned about yourself training at In Pursuit?
I had never tried lifting a barbell in my life, but I have learned how to do that with increasing weight. I am surprised that my lower back and hips hardly ache at all now, when that achiness used to be a daily issue. I have learned to push myself, and then rest, and feed my body with some good protein. I feel taller and more sturdy when I walk. It is an amazing feeling.
How have you been challenged?
The commitment to working out on a regular basis is a challenge. I'm busy, like everyone. But I have made these workouts a priority. Having a workout partner has kept me on track. You care enough about each other to make sure you get the workout in. We've missed three workouts in four months. Yes, the workout can be challenging. I don't always feel like doing 700 meters on the skiing machine. But I do it with the endgame in sight.
Here at In Pursuit we offer a special $99 assessment and 4-week training program for readers of this newsletter. It's a great starting point for general strength training and includes access to the gym for a month. If you're looking for more, Minter Team readers can get six sessions and six weeks of gym access for $295. You have plans and goals, we have the training to get you there - become an In Pursuit Athlete today!
