Strength and Conditioning 5/6th grade T/Th
The May session of Strength and Conditioning for 5th/6th graders at In Pursuit Fitness Training starts May 4. This 4-week session will have classes twice per week for one hour. Sessions include a warm-up activity followed by 25 minutes of strength training and 25 minutes of conditioning. Each session is limited to six athletes.

This section meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
At In Pursuit we teach the youth proper **technique** and then challenge them to **"lift heavy."** Of course "heavy" is relative but the idea is to learn how to progressively overload the muscles for strength training. Additionally we will use our "MetCons" (**metabolic conditioning**) to increase our engine and learn how to compete (individually and as a team) at a high level. We talk about working hard in the gym so we learn to work hard on the field and on the court.
